Hi team,

Wondering what I’m doing wrong here. I’m trying to download a video that was uploaded a few months back in 1920x1080 resolution.

However now when I go to get the file, the highest quality it will allow me to download is 1280x720. Why is that? And how can I change that? Thank you in advance.

Hi Josh, the 1920 x 1080 rendition is a HLS rendition which is not downloadable, you can only download MP4 renditions.

If you would like to have a 1920 x 1080 downloadable MP4 rendition, you would need to create a custom ingest profile (https://studio.support.brightcove.com/admin/ingest-profiles/managing-ingest-profiles.html) adding this rendition. Once this is done, you would need to retranscode your video (https://studio.support.brightcove.com/media/manage/retranscoding-videos-using-media-module.html) to generate the new set of renditions including the new MP4 for you to download.
