Hi there,I am trying to upload/embed our school video on our website. The video shows up correctly under ‘Media’, however when I copy the video URL by selected ‘Embed on Website’, the video shows a black screen and will not play. I’ve followed the steps as outlined by the School Website Upgrade guides but I must be doing something wrong. Can someone help me with this please? Thanks,Laura

I am having issues with Player styles in gallery mode.I set my player button to central and red with a logo overlay and campaign lead form enabled.When I assign this player to my landing page gallery experience, however, the play button is grey and to the left, and the logo overlay is not showing.I have saved and published the player, left it for over 10 minutes, checked all settings and can’t see a reason why the player styles aren’t showing and it’s driving me crazy at the moment.  TIA

When I share a YouTube video in e.g. Whatsapp it converts the URL with a link preview of the video.If I do share a Brightcove video via Embedded and publish to web steps, the generated URL isn’t showing me the link preview panel. With lot’s of extra steps, by creating a gallery in-page experience I create a URL where this link preview is working. Is there a way I can enable the link preview when using the publish to web option?

Hi! Does anyone know if there is a way to download brightcove videos to be able to watch them offline? For example, we show videos at tradeshows but the wifi is spotty. Is there a way to still show them with no internet?

The title and description in the black background hide the content of the video, such as UI-screen titles, important UI elements, and so on. From the Brightcove Default Player settings, I cleared the Show title and description checkbox to remove the title and then published the player. However, the changes are not reflected. 

I have encountered an issue with video controls in our current implementation. Specifically, I am able to control the video functionalities such as play/pause and mute/unmute for videos embedded within the amp-video tag. However, I am facing difficulties in achieving the same level of control for videos embedded within the amp-brightcove tag.Despite following the standard procedures and guidelines for both tags, the amp-brightcove tag does not seem to respond to the play/pause and mute/unmute commands as expected. This inconsistency is affecting the user experience and requires further investigation to identify the root cause and implement a solution.I would appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have to resolve this issue. Hi all MS PowerPoint allows for embedding videos from certain sources, e.g., YouTube, without inserting them.Is there a way to do this for Brightcove videos?

Good morning all.  It is my understanding the brightcove host videos for NETACAD, a cisco training site. There are videos that are embedded on the netacad site, that our web filter is blocking. We have the Linewize web filter. I am looking for a URL to unblock in order for these videos to be watchable within our domain. Does anyone know a specific URL for videos hosted by brightcove that I can use to unblock in our filter? I have already added brightcove.com but that did not do the trick.  

Is it possible to edit the display name of a Brightcove link in a hyperlink? When clicking on “edit hyperlink”, the display name section is greyed out and cannot be edited.

I’m adding cue points to a video, but the cue point icon is not displaying on the timeline, and after adding a cue point it doesn’t actually appear in the cue point list. So, I have no way of deleting or adding them.What are some possible causes of this that I should be considering? I’m using Firefox browser version 115.9.1esr (64-bit) for Mac EDIT: confirming that this appears to be an issue with Firefox, or at least the ESR version I;m using. The cue points are displayed properly in Chrome 103.0.5060.134 (Official Build) (x86_64) for Mac.

I am not seeing any information in search that comes up with how to prevent downloading of your videos when you share them using a player and iframe on a website. 

I am looking to create an accessibility button for a Brightcove player v7 that groups function under one button.  This button when clicked would give the user access to the closed captioning settings and Described Video settings.  By having them grouped together it keeps the player controls bar cleaner.  How would I do this?

I work at a software company that offers virtual sessions streams.We're integrated lightly with vimeo where we can embed your video player so our customers can host their videos within our product.I have a few cookie/privacy questions:1. Does your embedded player generate any cookies at all?2. If so, does it generate any non-essential cookies that would fall under categories such as usage, marketing, tracking, etc? We are evaluating how we have to handle our privacy/cookie banners that our customers interact with and need to understand any implications to 3rd party code such as the vimeo player.(currently rendered using the React player code on github)

When publishing a video, the advanced option provides a snippet along the lines of this:<script src="https://players.brightcove.net/ACCOUNT_ID/PLAYER_ID_default/index.min.js"></script> Does this support the “async”  attribute? If so - Can that be the noted in the embed code? This would greatly help on page load performance. 

Is there a shared roadmap for upcoming player integrations?

Can I host custom plugins on Brightcove?
