Hi Brightcove Community,I'm trying to retrieve viewer-level analytics using the Analytics API, but I'm receiving an empty response and would appreciate some guidance.Current SetupOur flow is as follows: A user authenticates in our Next.js application through Salesforce. The user watches videos embedded with a Brightcove player. We send the Salesforce Person ID to Brightcove using bcAnalytics.client.user() so that each playback is associated with a unique viewer. We then query the Analytics API using the viewer dimension to retrieve viewer-level analytics. I used the Analytics module to check the daily_unique_viewer metric for a specific video during January. When I run the report for the full date range (1/1/2025–1/31/2025), it shows 5 daily unique viewers.However, when I run the same report broken down by each week in January, the cumulative total is only 2 daily unique viewers. Why is there such a discrepancy?Also, is this metric intended to represent an average per day or the actual count of unique viewers?My stakeholder needs to know how many people viewed the video overall. Is there a better metric or method to get this information?Thanks in advance for the help.

Is there any way to generate a report and export into a spreadsheet all the videos that I have in my account, including the folder name and the date the video was last viewed?I can view this on screen, but I can’t find an option to export what I’m seeing.  Basically, all the columns I can view on screen in the “video” listing under “Media,” exported into a spreadsheet.Thank you.

Is there a way to generate a report that provide individual viewer metrics by each viewer account or id?  Is that a feature or module that needs to be enabled?  Can not figure out how to access this vital information.  Please advise if you have any knowledge or insight.   Thank You!

Brightcove updated its user interface in the last week or so and now I can't get at some of the Analytics data I was frequently using. If you click on any video there's no longer an Analytics tab. Also in the media tab I can no longer select "Views in the last 30 days" or "Last date viewed" to display as fields. Is there still a way to get those features or are they totally gone now? Could they please be added back.

Is there a way to see performance data related to people watching our videos with the closed-captions on? Can these data further be broken down by language? For example: 90 percent of people watch the video without captions, 5 percent watch it with Spanish captions, 3 percent with Chinese captions, and 2 percent with Greek captions.

Example: I have 110,000 total views for all my course offerings from Dec 1 through Feb 28. Almost 6k of the 110k views list “players.brightcove.net” as the Display Domain. Very few people have access to the direct links to the videos - most view the videos via an LMS.Do videos that indicate players.brightcove.com as the display domain play behind a firewall that blocks domain information? Or is there another reason or reasons this will happen?

Hello,I have some scheduled analytics reports and was looking for a way for the report date to be included in the name automatically. Is there a way to specify that?For example, rather than having “ScheduledReport” sent to me every month, I’d like it if it was “[date]_ScheduledReport” like “January2025_ScheduledReport.”Thank you for your time,Aly

Hi, I’m wondering if people can share any benchmarks they use to assess engagement scores for videos. I understand the score and how it’s calculated and can find it in analytics, so really look to see how our scores compare across industries.. any generic categories would be helpful. Thanks, Pia 

Is there a way to exclude certain IPs from the analytics reports? We log in regularly to make sure that the stream is working and would like to exclude us from being counted as a view when running reports.

Hi,I am trying to get a report generated with all the videos uploaded which does has 0 video impression which totally comes to 1700 videos but where as when i generate a report only 300 is only generated. And the videos with 0 video impression are getting dropped. How do i generate a report with all the videos uploaded till now irrespective of the views and analytics. I tried passing more values in date range filter it still did not help. Thanks

If I’m looking at the hourly view numbers for a program that was live streamed. Is there any way to tell how many are unique viewers and how many are holdovers from the previous hour?

Does Brightcove allow analytics data filtering by one component? For example: I want all videos, destination domains, devices, countries etc. filtered by "Player".

How fresh is the data in QoE? and What's the difference between bitrate and available bitrate?
