Today I noticed the “Standby” tab under the Live module was missing on Brightcove 1.0, so I no longer have access to my SEPs to activate them. I’ve yet to transition to 2.0 because all of my SEPs changed RTMPs/Stream Keys in Brightcove 2.0 and I have an abundance of different encoders across multiple locations across the country, so the transition will take some time and coordination with folks at those locations.
Is this a bug? Or is 2.0 no longer optional? If anyone has any advice, it’d be much appreciated.
I'm glad I'm not the only looking for it. I just streamed an event and went to create a clip and everything is missing.
Hopefully it's a glitch and all my events come back.
Have you tried checking via the Brightcove Live API?
Brightcove Live 2.0 is still relatively new, and from what I’ve seen, it seems like it is still under “review” (hopefully they will sort it out soon). However, rest assured that Brightcove has stated:
"For our current customers, we are carefully evaluating their current configurations and working closely with our customers and customer success teams to ensure that we provide a smooth transition to help get them migrated."
If you haven’t already, it might be worth reaching out to Brightcove Support to confirm whether this is a temporary issue or part of the full transition to 2.0. Would be great to hear if anyone else has encountered this as well.
Hi
Thank you for sharing you report!
In Live 2.0, the RTMP URL is displayed after the job is activated. Once you start a stream, you should see the RTMP details available for use with your encoder.
