When I share a YouTube video in e.g. Whatsapp it converts the URL with a link preview of the video.
If I do share a Brightcove video via Embedded and publish to web steps, the generated URL isn’t showing me the link preview panel.
With lot’s of extra steps, by creating a gallery in-page experience I create a URL where this link preview is working.
Is there a way I can enable the link preview when using the publish to web option?
You can enable link previews when sharing Brightcove videos, but it requires embedding the video on a page that includes proper metadata (like Open Graph tags) and configuring social sharing in the player. Simply using the “Publish to Web” option with an iframe or player URL won’t generate a preview on its own.

Another option, as you mentioned, is to create an In-Page Experience. You can do this directly from the Media module — just click the three-dot menu next to your video and select Publish as In-Page Experience. It’s a great way to save time and get a shareable URL that supports previews.
