Our video data comes from various areas of the company. Now I'm supposed to give individual departments their old video data so that they can edit new videos for their social media channels.
Is there a way to download a specific selection of video data, or at least several videos at once? I only know that you can save individual videos via the browser link...

Unfortunately, there is no tool that Brightcove can offer to download videos in bulk.
The social syndication API allows you to create a MRSS feed of all your videos containing mp4 and create a downloadable, but it is not possible to download in bulk.
As an alternative and in conjunction with your development team, you can create a script that allows the download of the videos inside the mrss feed in bulk.
