Hello everyone,

We'd like to integrate our team logo into our videos. The problem is that it's only possible with an image. It's too big and the image revolution is bad. We'd like our logo to match the size of the sotheby's template. Sample video with our oversized logo

Thank you for your help

Adding on to Varsha’s answer, we prefer to burn the watermark directly onto the video rather than applying it dynamically. This approach offers more fluidity as it allows for precise positioning of the watermark logo, and it automatically scales according to the video size.

For the best results, I’d recommend using a high-resolution logo to maintain clarity across different resolutions. You can refer to Brightcove’s watermark encoding settings here:

Hi @Chantale Tardif came to the right place :) Here’s what my team suggests:

Brightcove offers several ways to add a logo to your videos, including image overlays and player overlays. The recommended image size depends on the method you choose:

  1. Image Overlays via Interactivity Module

    • When adding an image overlay using the Interactivity module, we recommend keeping the file size under 200 KB to ensure fast loading and optimal performance.
    • More details: Adding an Image Overlay
  2. Player Overlays

  3. Static Image Overlays in Brightcove Beacon

    • If you're using Brightcove Beacon, the image overlay should be in .tga or .png format.
    • You can resize the image to fit your video screen using the width and height fields in the settings.
    • More details: Brightcove Beacon Support

General Recommendations:

File Format: Use .png for transparency support.
Aspect Ratio: Maintain your logo’s original aspect ratio to avoid distortion.
Positioning: Ensure the logo does not obstruct key content in your video.

If your current logo appears too large or has resolution issues, you may need to resize or optimize the image before adding it. If you’re trying to match the size of the Sotheby’s template, could you share its dimensions or provide an example so we can offer a more precise recommendation?

Hope this helps! Let us know if you need further guidance. 😊

I also welcome any other user reading this to share their knowledge/experience on the matter.
