Q: How can you prevent a user from taking video clips from videos they shouldn't be editing?

A: Roles and permissions within Video Cloud allow admins to assign specific editing permissions. Users can be restricted from editing or publishing videos based on these permissions.

Q: How can specific brand standards, such as custom fonts, be added to the editor?

A: Custom fonts can be added on a case-by-case basis through the backend. Customers can request specific fonts to be made available if needed via support portal.

Q: Does the editing feature allow for blurring parts of the video and adding separately recorded voice overs?

A: Blurring functionality is not available. However, voiceovers can be uploaded and added to the video through the platform.

Q: Are there transitions available from one scene to another?

A: Transitions between scenes, such as fade to white or black, are not available currently. This is a potential future enhancement based on customer feedback.

Q: Is there a music/sound effects library and sound editor available?

A: No, there isn't a dedicated music or sound effects library or advanced sound editing capabilities in the current release.

Q: Can a song be uploaded using the voiceover button as a workaround for adding music?

A: While technically possible, this approach is not standard and hasn't been thoroughly tested. Specific songs can be made available through professional services if needed.

Q: Can steps within the tool be automated for future video editing?

A: While templates can be defined and some scenes locked, the editing process still requires manual input. Discussions are ongoing about adding more automation features.

Q: Can I create my own template for re-use by other members of my team?

A: This is possible via our professional services. The templates may involve the creation of after effect files, locking of some scenes, and potentially changing the layout to match the desired assets that get shown per scene.
