Hello,

We are experiencing issues uploading videos using the google chrome browser - anyone else? Upload stalls at 99% then cancels.

Chrome updated, tried chrome restarts and only having one screen open, restarting computer etc.

Same issue across multiple users and computers this month.

Thank you

This issue can arise from several factors, so it’s important to narrow down the potential causes. Please follow these steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Browser: Try uploading in Chrome Incognito mode, or use an alternative browser such as Firefox or Safari. If the issue occurs only in Chrome, it may be related to Chrome extensions.

  2. VPN: If you're using a VPN, try disabling it and attempt the upload again.

  3. Network Proxy: If a network proxy is set up on your device, disable it. Alternatively, try using a personal device without proxy settings.

  4. Internet Connection: Test the upload on a different network or connect via mobile data to see if the issue persists. If you're working from home, try your home network.

If the problem continues, you may need to submit a support ticket to Brightcove. When doing so, it's helpful to include the Network log from the developer console and share the HAR log generated from the error.

For instructions on exporting the logs, you can refer to this document:

Creating a Network Log – Brightcove Support

Hi @Social Video Team,

Thank you for sharing your questions on Bright Spot!

@Andy Hartono  answer is very accurate, and to complement it I would like to share the following information:

There are several reasons why your video is not creating video renditions on the Video Cloud platform.

Here is a public documentation of the different methods of uploading a video, recommendations and limitations: https://studio.support.brightcove.com/media/manage/uploading-videos-using-upload-module.html

I would recommend you to double check your network connection, as well as try to upload videos from a different network.

Also if you are using a VPN this may be limiting your video upload.

If you are trying to uploading large files, Brightcove recommends setting the Upload Queueing setting to Upload one file at a time.

If you continue to have problems please open a ticket with the support team and provide evidence.

Please let me know if by following any of these steps you managed to upload your video.

Happy to help!
